What do Pagans stand to gain from interfaith work?
- We have the opportunity to present our perspectives,
which will be shared with their congregations. - We enhance our credibility as a “real” religion.
- We gain allies. Pagans are a tiny minority, perhaps 1.5
million of us in the United States. We tend to be
invisible – urban and white. And we tend to lack
cohesion, and have difficulty working together (even in
our own interest). We need allies to stand up for us.
What can we contribute to interfaith discussions?
- A minority religious perspective, very different from that
of mainstream religions. - A better understanding of animism, polytheism, and the
veneration of Nature.
